Since graduating magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture in 2002, Katie Breshears has interned with Polk Stanley Rowland Curzon Porter of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Resource Design of Rogers, Arkansas. While at Resource Design, she obtained her architectural license and became a member of the Board of Directors.  She has participated in a wide range of projects, including educational, retail and mixed-use developments, most recently developing sustainability strategies for retail improvements.

Breshears joined the Community Design Center in 2007. As a project specialist, she assists in teaching, research and planning, with a focus on the integration of sustainability and community design.  She is a LEED accredited professional and is a member of the Arkansas chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and Sustainable Northwest Arkansas.
