Since joining the faculty of the School
of Architecture in 2000, Russell Rudzinski has taught in multiple capacities
across the curriculum and has served as the director of the Mexico Summer Urban
Studio. Russell embraces a well-rounded
approach to academic research that seeks a measured balance between critical
design practice and traditional scholarly efforts. He co-administers a collaborative practice in
Fayetteville, Architects226, Inc. His
design work has won awards, including, most recently, a design merit award for
the Decatur Modern Home Challenge (2007).
Russell’s complimentary areas of scholarly research include critical
assessments of the work of Eliel Saarinen in America and well as investigations
on the evolution of modern architecture in Mexico.
