Since 1995, the University of Arkansas Community Design Center (UACDC) has provided award-winning, innovative planning to communities and organizations throughout Arkansas.
Using teams of students and professional staff, the community design center prepares multi-faceted design solutions that promote economic development, enhance the natural environment, and improve public health.
The center’s planning has helped Arkansas communities and organizations secure nearly $62 million in grant funding to enact suggested improvements.

Along the way, the community design center has picked up more than 25 regional, national and international design and planning awards, and six national education awards.
UACDC services are enhanced by collaborations with the Department of Landscape Architecture, the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam Walton College of Business, the Arkansas Forestry Commission, Audubon Arkansas, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
