Christopher Suneson serves as the City of Bella Vista's liaison and adviser to the Planning Commission. He drafted the City's Master Street Plan and various sections of code for regulation of the look and feel of the community. He served on the Fayetteville Natural Heritage Commission's Regional Green Infrastructure Land Use Working group attempting to resolve differences in land use policy between jurisdictions and preserving natural corridors that link jurisdictions.
He is a licensed landscape architect in Arkansas, certified by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards. He brings clients cost-effective, holistic landscape designs utilizing native plantings and sustainable design. His projects involve managing storm water through Low-Impact Development techniques, Rainwater Harvesting systems, and water efficient Irrigation systems.
Suneson is also a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional, guiding the civil engineering and landscape architecture components of projects in teams of multiple design professionals. Three of his projects are currently undergoing LEED certification.
He specializes in sustainable design with native plantings, low-impact development, rainwater harvesting, storm water management, and water efficient irrigation. Other areas of specialty include U.S. Green Building Council LEED permitting; master planning, municipal code composition and land use policy; and site design for commercial, residential and industrial type projects.
