Workshop Goals & Prerequisites

Workshop Goals

•    We will present to participants a very high level workshop with access to the latest software tools and tutors with unparalleled experience in parametric design.

•    We will offer a tutor/participant ratio of no more than 1:15. The tutors are drawn from a very experienced group that includes expert users of GenerativeComponentsTM and of other high end parametric design systems.

•    We will provide participants at this workshop with an evaluation copy of GenerativeComponentsTM, an introductory user manual, and example files.

Pre-requisites

For beginner session:

It is not a pre-requisite that attendees have programming skills. Prior Bentley MicroStation or GenerativeComponentsTM experience is not necessary.
It is important that attendees:

•    Are able to think logically

•    Can apply this approach to geometric constructions and systems involving logical dependencies

•    Have some familiarity (practical or conceptual) with 3D digital modeling with curves, surfaces and solids

For intermediate session:

Participation in prior SmartGeometry workshop or TransFORM Architecture workshop.

Application deadline is April 10, 2009.
