Mark Boyer, head of the landscape architecture department, has joined a select group of 75 outstanding teachers on campus. He was inducted as a fellow of the University of Arkansas Teaching Academy at a banquet on November 13. Boyer has received teaching awards from the Student Alumni Board, the Associated Student Government and the department of landscape architecture, where he was named the outstanding teacher in the department four times.
“Mark's excellence as a teacher has long been appreciated and honored within the school," said Jeff Shannon, dean of the School of Architecture. "We are proud to have him recognized at the university level." Other school faculty so honored include Dean Jeff Shannon, Professor Emeritus Murray Smart, and architecture professors Ethel Goodstein and Greg Herman.
