First Impressions of Rome

As soon-to-be fourth-year landscape architecture students, our first
impressions of Rome are, "Ti amo bella Roma!". There is something
beautiful to be seen on every corner. We spent our first full day here
on foot touring the city with our wonderful guide Davide, the head
chair of the University of Arkansas Roma Tre program. We analyzed
spaces such as the Pantheon, Via Guilia, Piazza Navano, Campo Dei
Fiori, and St. Peter's Square. We have also been privileged to have
Davide guide and critique our sketches through the Piazza de Popolo,
Villa Giulia and Villa Borghese. Since our arrival, we have been
immersed in a never-ending learning experience. We have enjoyed every
aspect of our trip, the architecture, landscape, culture, and food.
After only a week's time, it is apparent that we will be very
reluctant to leave. Many of us plan on some day returning.
