On campus

The Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences presents a wealth of cultural events that highlight talented students:

  • From student recitals to the Fayetteville Sonic Arts Festival, the music department presents numerous concerts, most of them free, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall.

  • Check out the drama department's current season.

  • The art deparment mounts eight to 10 exhibitions each year in the Fine Arts Center Gallery. Admission is free.

 

Near campus

  • The Walton Arts Center brings Broadway musicals, ballet, modern dance and national performers to nearby Dickson Street.

  • Theatre Squared is a regional professional company that produces plays for both youth and adult audiences – including original new works by playwright-in-residence Robert Ford.
  • Founded in 1954, the North Arkansas Symphony offers an active program of classical music.

  • Art Amiss is an artists' collective that supports emerging artists. Their events are fun, and the art is affordable.

Coming soon

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, located on a 100-acre park in Bentonville, will feature a world-class collection of art. The new museum, designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, is currently under construction and could open in 2011.


Campus production of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer prize-winning-play, Angels in America
