Contrary to popular myth, pursuing a School of Architecture degree does
not consign you to four to five years of sleeping in studio and a diet
of coffee, ramen noodles and Snickers bars. In this weekly class,
first- and second-year students discuss how to adjust to university
life – while keeping a life outside of class and studio. Visiting
lecturers offer workshops on topics such as
Stress management
Time management
Making smart decisions about food
Breathing and stretching
The importance of exercise
We also want you to succeed after
you get your
degree. To hone your leadership skills, we teach you how to make
professional presentations and work effectively in groups. Older
students are on hand to offer guidance and lead community service
projects.
After completing the required courses you may continue to
participate as a student mentor and be formally recognized for
your participation when you graduate.
