1. Question: How do I change my major?

Answer: To declare a new major, go to the advising center for the college in which you wish to enroll.

2. Question: What is the Advanced Composition Requirement?

Answer:
In order to graduate from the University of Arkansas, students must complete the Advanced Composition Requirement.  Required by the state, the Advanced Composition Requirement must be met on campus, not through transfer credits.  You may satisfy this requirement in one of four different ways:

  • Take English 1013 and 1023, and receive either an A or a B in 1013 and an A in 1023.
  • Take English 2013, Essay Writing
  • Pass English 2003, Advanced Composition

3. Question: When and where do I apply for graduation?

Answer:
Generally students graduating in May must apply for graduation in February; students graduating in December must apply in September.  Watch for an email from the advising center for application deadlines.  To apply, come by the advising center.  You will need to fill out a survey on your experience in the program, and then you may complete the application for graduation.
