The Pella Fifth Year Design Competition

Fifth-year faculty select student projects from the fall comprehensive studio for consideration.  These projects are then juried by the architecture faculty in the spring to select the winner(s).

Architecture Program Book Awards
For students with intellectual curiosity and high academic performance in each year of the professional program

Valerie Turnage-Tucker Memorial Scholarship
For the AIAS member, selected by peers, who has devoted numerous hours to School activities and service to fellow students

Northwest Section, Arkansas Chapter, AIA Scholarship
For the member of AIAS who has performed willing service to the School and its students

Ft. Smith Section of the Arkansas Chapter of the AIA Scholarship
For the student scholar who is a resident of the Ft. Smith metropolitan area

E. Fay Jones Traveling Scholarship
For the third-year architecture student with a high overall and design grade point average

The Wischmeyer Rome Travel Scholarship
For a third-year architecture student preparing to go to Rome

Third Year Outstanding Portfolio Award
In recognition of the student who has presented the best portfolio, as selected by the architecture faculty, conveying the student’s academic progression and portraying project intentions and solutions in concisely and coherently through graphic clarity, unity and quality

Brackett/Krennerich & Associates Scholarship
To support international travel for a student with outstanding technical ability

Acme Brick Competition
For the winners of the third-year architecture design competition

Cyrus Sutherland Historic Preservation Alliance Scholarship
Awarded to a student in the School of Architecture who has demonstrated interest in historic preservation

Allison Architects
Offered to a well-rounded architecture student showing potential and requiring substantial financial need

BRR Architects Award
For an architecture student entering his/her fifth year and having a promising academic record

Kinslow, Keith, & Todd Architects Scholarship
Two awards distributed evently between a fourth- and fifth-year student based on academic accomplishment

Hight Jackson Associates Rome Travel
For an architecture student showing substantial financial need who is not already the recipient of a scholarship

The Noland Blass Jr. Scholarhip
A prize distributed evenly over the course of twelve years for an architecture student

Maurice Jennings International Scholarship
Offered to a student in the School of Architecture who is also and honors student and plans to participate in international study abroad programs

Tony DeAngelo/Soho Development Award
An award given over a period of three years for a rising third-year architecture student who combines an ability in design with an interest in business

Mason Contractors Endowed Scholarship
Given by the Arkansas Chapter of the Mason Contractors Associaton of America to a successful rising third-year School of Architecture student

Phi Beta Delta Merit Award
Awarded to a School of Architecture student who participated in international study the previous year

PB2 Honors Scholarship
An international travel scholarship awarded to an architecture student planning to study abroad

The Herb Fowler Medal
Offered in honor of Herb Fowler to a student who has completed his/her second year of study and who demonstrates outstanding hand drawing skills, excellent conceptualization of spaces and volumes, and has sucessfully incorporated classic principles of proportion and balance into the design of modern architecture
