To plan your budget, it’s important to calculate all of the costs:
The modified tuition and fee calculator is a good place to start.
A semester of international study is required for students pursuing the five-year professional degree. The international studies fee covers field trip travel and lodging, museum fees and other expenses related to study abroad. We break it down into eight non-refundable payments of $532.79, paid out over eight consecutive semesters. Airfare, living expenses and tuition are not included in the international studies fee; talk to our advising center staff to get the most current estimate on these costs.
After your first year in the program, plan on one to two field trips a year. Cost depends on destination and mode of travel; budget $500 for this expense.
Don’t forget art supplies! Typically you will spend $300 - $500 on paper, paints, pencils and basswood each semester.
School of Architecture Scholarships
We work hard to develop new scholarship support for our students, because we realize that the costs add up. Currently the School of Architecture awards $90,000 in scholarships each year.
Honors College Scholarships
Each year, the Honors College awards 2000 scholarships and fellowships ranging from $2000 to the Chancellor’s Fellowship, which covers room and board, tuition, and fees and awards $50,000 for travel and research. The Honors College also offers 300 grants each year that support undergraduate research and international study.
